Neil Pullambra is the founder, driver, and driving force behind Intense Gear. If you've seen the cars sideways, Neil was almost certainly the one behind the wheel.
"I didn't start drifting because of motorsport. I started because of the feeling. The moment a car stops going straight and starts going sideways - and you're controlling it, not just reacting - there's nothing else like that."
Building Intense Gear wasn't a business plan. It was a consequence of obsession. Neil wanted to bring proper drift culture to India - not just the video content, but the experience. The heat, the smoke, the sound, the sheer physical sensation of being inside a car at full lock.
"India has incredible car culture. But drift was always something people watched on YouTube. I wanted people to feel it. That's the whole point of Drift Taxi - you can't understand it until you're in the seat."
The crew that's built up around Intense Gear reflects that same ethos. Vaibhav, Dhruv, Maria, and Rachel each bring their own energy to the operation. "I couldn't do any of this without the team. The event, the Drift Taxi, the online presence - that's all of us."
One home event a year. That's by design. Neil is deliberate about not diluting it. "If we did it every month it would become normal. We do it once. People wait for it. That matters."
When asked what's next: "More events. More passengers. More angle. We're just getting started."
