WHAT TO EXPECT AT A DRIFT TAXI RUN

The most common thing people say when they step out of the drift taxi is: "I wasn't ready for that." And we love hearing it. But we also want you to know roughly what to expect so you can enjoy every second instead of spending the first lap figuring out what's happening.

Check-in is simple. Tell us your name, confirm you've read the safety brief (or read it then), sign the waiver. This takes five minutes.

The briefing is done by your driver. They'll tell you how to sit - hips back, head against the headrest - and how to hold on. The handles on the door are for a reason. They'll tell you not to brace against the dashboard. They'll ask if you have any questions.

The first corner will shock you. Even if you've watched hundreds of drift videos, the sensation is different in person. The car rotates and doesn't straighten out. It keeps rotating. The smoke arrives. The sound changes.

By the second lap, most people are grinning. By the third, they're either already asking about booking again or in a state of happy shock.

After the run, your driver will debrief with you informally - what you just experienced, what the car was doing, why it does what it does.

Bring a water bottle. You won't feel it during the run, but afterwards you'll want it. Wear whatever you'd wear to a regular day out - no special gear needed.

The one thing we ask: go in with no expectations about how you'll react. Some people are quiet. Some people scream. Some people cry. All of it is right.
